Want to try volunteering but not sure if it is right for you? Maybe you are struggling to unearth the right opportunity or your last role didn't meet your expectations. Our course on volunteering guides the learner through all the steps of finding and landing the right volunteering role. We also provide some insight into how to succeed as a volunteer.
Candidates will undertake an online multiple-choice assessment and will receive a certificate if successful (any certificates from an official awarding body are sent to you via email).

In order to get the most out of volunteering, and to maximise your enjoyment, you need to consider what roles are right for you. In this unit we will guide you through the process of thinking about what you can offer to a role and what you want back in return. We also ask you to consider what might limit the roles that you are able to accept. Be honest and realistic!

Building on the last unit, we now discuss landing the RIGHT volunteering role - not just any volunteering role. Landing a volunteering role is very similar to applying for paid employment. However there will be some subtle differences about how you and the potential recruiter can go through the process.

Success as a volunteer can mean different things depending on your goals. Maybe it is to gain three months in relevant role to put on your CV; maybe you want something more long-term to keep you busy. However there are many common factors to being successful and we will cover them here.
