Delve into the world of wines with our online short course. Learn about the different styles of wine, the production process for different types of wine, how to recommend and pair wine with different foods, and how to serve wine in the correct glassware.

To kick off this course, we examine the origins of wine, stepping back into history and then fast-forwarding to the present and the wines from around the world that we know today.

To get our second module underway, we look at the 9 different styles of wine.

It is time to look at viticulture - the art or business of growing grapes. You might be surprised to hear that some grape varietals are more profitable than others, and we'll examine the reasons why this is so. In addition, this unit covers the importance of grapes.

To round up our second module, we look into the importance of a wine's place of origin.

We start our third and final module by considering how to store wine and the best methods to prepare it for drinking.

Now it is time to get more analytical as we turn our attention to tasting wine. Following on from this, we offer tips and guidance on how to recommend and pair certain wines with specific foods.
